The Impact of a Senior Data Scientist to Coupa:
Senior Data Scientists at Coupa support internal teams (primarily product and engineering) by creating and automating machine-language-driven solutions to complex problems. Your work would help improve existing or new machine-language-based product features and would ultimately impact thousands of Coupa customers driving product usage and adoption
What You’ll Do
As a Data Scientist, you will work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to build, deploy, and optimize machine learning and AI models.
You will design and automate data pipelines (ETL), improve data quality, develop intelligent systems, and
contribute to the creation of AI-enabled product features.
You will be contributing to the development of concepts, methods and techniques with design ownership over features and functionality
What You Will Bring to Coupa
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or Statistics (or similar field)
5+ Years Experience with Python (and PySpark), and querying languages such
as SQL
High-level understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms
Hands-on experience building or working with AI/ML models, including exposure
to modern AI approaches (e.g., NLP, deep learning, or generative AI)
5+ Years Experience working with large datasets - cleaning, processing,
interpreting, and automating processes
Ability to work in ambiguous environments, learn quickly, and apply strong critical
thinking skills
Passion for building AI-driven products and translating business problems into
intelligent solutions
