This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in United States.

This role offers a high-impact opportunity to design, build, and scale cutting-edge AI and computational imaging systems in a regulated environment. You will own end-to-end development of complex software pipelines that enhance medical imaging, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentorship of junior engineers, and influence over technical strategy and architecture. You will contribute directly to products that improve patient outcomes, working in a fast-paced, innovative, and mission-driven environment. This role balances technical excellence, systems thinking, and operational rigor while providing the opportunity to make a tangible difference in healthcare technology. Success requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership in engineering standards, and the ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving field.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI services and computational imaging pipelines for production use
  • Own the full lifecycle of complex software features, including architecture, implementation, and observability
  • Ensure high availability, security, and operational excellence of services through monitoring, alerting, and logging
  • Lead code reviews, technical mentorship, and system design documentation to maintain engineering quality
  • Collaborate across teams to reduce knowledge silos and ensure continuity of critical systems
  • Implement robust testing and validation strategies aligned with regulatory and quality standards
  • Proactively identify risks and drive improvements in architecture and operational resilience
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including expertise in AI production systems (Python, PyTorch) and data services (SQL, Postgres, NoSQL, Redis or similar)
    • Proven experience designing, implementing, and securing RESTful APIs and scalable production systems
    • Familiarity with MLOps orchestration, cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS
    • Strong systems thinking and ability to evaluate trade-offs in scalability, reliability, and maintainability
    • Experience mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards via reviews and technical guidance
    • Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and operational excellence best practices
    • Preferred: experience with medical imaging pipelines, HIPAA/HITRUST compliance, computer vision, and deep learning for image processing
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary ($153,000–$179,000) with 15% target annual bonus
      • Total target compensation: $176,000–$206,000 including variable pay
      • Remote work flexibility with some travel as required
      • Opportunity to work on mission-driven projects impacting patient health
      • Mentorship and professional development opportunities in a collaborative engineering team
      • Access to company tools, resources, and modern cloud infrastructure
      • Inclusive, high-performance culture with emphasis on innovation and impact
      • Paid benefits, stock options, and employee perks as part of total rewards
