Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of enterprise collaboration platforms, including chat, conferencing, file share, and email, driving technical roadmaps and domain-level responsibilities. Drive platform resilience, performance, and reliability through advanced automation, proactive issue detection, and remediation. Implement AI-powered solutions and integrate communication tools and core business workflows to streamline collaboration. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical reviews, architectural guidance, and oversight to ensure engineering excellence across the teamEvaluate and optimize collaboration systems, making trade-offs between custom and off-the-shelf systems, and driving continuous optimization, performance tuning and tech debt-reduction.
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 4+ years of experience in platform/systems/infrastructure roles. Deep expertise in at least one collaboration/communication domain (e.g. conferencing, chat/messaging, bots/integration frameworks) and proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell)Strong experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and system observability/monitoring. Experience with scalable architectures, containerization and identify/access management (e.g. SSO, RBAC)Proven leadership qualities, including strong problem-solving skills, and ability to provide technical guidance using system-level thinking.
Nice-to-haves
Experience integrating AI/automation agents into enterprise systems or developing real-time collaboration stacks (e.g. video streaming) Prior work on performance engineering, latency optimization, high throughput systems. Experience with COTS (commercial) solutions with custom-built modules, or open-source technologies. Experience working in regulated or high-security environments.
